Balanced diet is the source of general healthy body. However, when you consume certain kinds of vegetables, you add to the promotion of growing a healthy hair. Green leafy vegetables are rich in vitamins B1, 2, 6, 7 and 12. They contain folic acid and promote healthy hair.
Spinach: is a good source of Vitamins A and C. Your body needs these vitamins to produce sebum, an oily substance secreted by your hair follicle, which is the body’s natural hair conditioner.
Lettuce: contains a good spectrum of minerals and the vitamin content includes a fair amount of carotene. A mixture of lettuce and spinach juice is said to help the growth of hair if drunk to the extent of a pint or so a day.
Broccoli: contains vitamin A like Spinach. It is an antioxidant that helps maintain the natural oil in the scalp.
Swiss Chard: contains a variety of vitamins that do not only promote hair growth but help other parts of the body, including vitamin K, A, C, E, manganese, magnesium, iron, potassium and dietary fiber. Swiss chard contains Biotin, otherwise known as Vitamin B7 or Vitamin H, which keeps hair from falling out. Not getting enough Biotin in the diet can result in more severe hair loss including eyelashes and eyebrows.
